This 1/32-scale model of a Wedell-Williams Racer by Williams Brothers Models features two types of landing gear, two types of wheels (hard or flexible tires), monofilament rigging and decals to allow finishing model as any one of three different aircraft: #1221 "Gilmore Red Lion, #44 Miss Patterson or #92 "Patterson".
The Wedell-Williams Model 44 is a racing aircraft, four examples of which were built in the United States in the early 1930s by the Wedell-Williams Air Service Corporation. It began as a rebuilding of the partnership's successful We-Will 1929 racer, but soon turned into a completely new racing monoplane aircraft, powered by a large radial engine. Model 44s became the dominant racers of the 1930s, setting innumerable records including setting a new world speed record in 1933.
The only surviving Model 44 is on display at the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum, Cleveland, Ohio. Three replica Model 44s are on display at the Louisiana State Museum, Patterson, Louisiana.

1/48 scale U.S. NAVY DOUGLAS SBD DAUNTLESS DIVE BOMBER plastic model kit with operating dive brakes, landing gear. Center bomb drops and machine gun swivels.

The Douglas Aircraft Corp. SBD Dauntless dive bomber became a mainstay of the U.S. Navy’s World War II air fleet in the Pacific, with the lowest loss ratio of any U.S. carrier-based aircraft. Douglas delivered a total of 5,936 SBDs between 1940 and the end of production in July 1944.

The Dauntless was developed at the Douglas Northrop facility at El Segundo, Calif., and was based on the Northrop Model 8 attack bomber developed for both the Army and the export market. The SBD Dauntless featured “Swiss cheese” flaps — dive brakes punched with 3-inch holes — so that it could achieve pinpoint accuracy by diving to the target, dropping the bomb and then pulling out of the near-vertical dive.

In addition to the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Army Air Forces, the Dauntless served air forces in New Zealand and Mexico.

The first enemy ship sunk by the U.S. Navy in World II is credited to a Dauntless from the USS Enterprise. The diving Dauntless went on to destroy 18 enemy warships, including a battleship and six carriers.

Aurora's 1969 'Archie's Car' plastic model kit is a notable collectible from the late 1960s, produced during the height of both Aurora's popularity and the Archie Comics franchise. The kit is in 1/25 scale and features a stylized vintage automobile, accompanied by figures of Archie, Veronica, and the dog Hot Dog, as depicted on the box art. Aurora was renowned for its licensed character kits, and this particular release capitalized on the widespread appeal of Archie Comics among American youth. The box art is distinctive, with bright, cartoonish illustrations that reflect the comic's aesthetic. The kit itself, when complete, includes detailed plastic parts for assembly and painting, and the inclusion of character figures adds to its desirability among both model kit collectors and Archie memorabilia enthusiasts. Authenticity is determined by the Aurora logo, the specific box design, and the presence of all original parts and instructions. Collectibility is enhanced by the kit's age, the enduring popularity of the Archie franchise, and the relative scarcity of unbuilt, complete examples. Condition of the box, presence of all figures, and completeness of the kit are critical factors influencing value. Prices for this kit vary significantly based on condition, rarity, and current market demand.

Scale: 1/4" = 1". Complete with 37 pieces, decal sheet, box and instructions.
The Breguet 14 was a French biplane bomber and reconnaissance aircraft of World War I. It was built in very large numbers and production continued for many years after the end of the war. Apart from its widespread usage, it was noteworthy for becoming the first aircraft in mass production to use large amounts of metal rather than wood in its structure. This allowed the airframe to be lighter than a wooden airframe of the same strength, in turn making the aircraft very fast and agile for its size, able to outrun many of the fighters of the day. Its strong construction was able to sustain much damage, it was easy to handle and had good performance. The Breguet 14 is often considered one of the best aircraft of the war.

1/4" scale 1956 model kit with movable controls. Starting in 1925 with the P-1, Curtiss built a long series of fighters carrying the name "Hawk." Of the eight different P-6 models produced, the P-6E remains the best known. Originally designated the Y1P-22, the U.S. Army Air Corps redesignated this aircraft the P-6E because of its similarity to the other P-6s. Curtiss delivered 46 P-6E Hawks, the last biplane fighter built in quantity for the Air Corps. Never used in combat, the P-6E is recognized as one of the most beautiful aircraft of the 1930s.

1/48 scale OS2U-3 KINGFISHER plastic model kit.

The Kingfisher was the U.S. Navy's primary ship-based, scout and observation aircraft during World War II. Revolutionary spot welding techniques gave it a smooth, non-buckling fuselage structure. Deflector plate flaps that hung from the wing's trailing edge and spoiler-augmented ailerons functioned like extra flaps to allow slower landing speeds. Most OS2Us operated in the Pacific, where they rescued many downed airmen, including World War I ace Eddie Rickenbacker and the crew of his B-17 Flying Fortress.
