This collection immortalizes one of the most significant and exciting eras in American history. Many historians believe that nothing in our history has been more important in shaping the character of our nation than our westward expansion. The rugged individualism, dedication to purpose, and ability to overcome hardships of the men, women and children; who pushed our frontier across the continent have yet to be equaled in American history. This collection captures forever the excitement, romance and significance of the American West.

Limited Edition. One of 12 original sculptures from The People of Old West series that was sculptured by Mico Kaufman. Issued by the American Sculpture Society, cast by hand in Solid Fine Pewter, in 1976.
This authentically detailed and historically authentic 4.75" x 2.75" sculpture depicts the sheriff's stern face which reveals his determination to continue his lonely battle to maintain law and order, and also his fear that the confrontation that he is marching into may be his last. The piece reflects every fascinating feature of the clothing and equipment of a sheriff who risked their life to explore and settle in the American West.
