2.75x7.25" tin litho platform base has two 6" tall die-cut tin litho jointed figures of Mickey Mouse. Both are same design, w/Mickey's smiling face pointed upwards. Arms are jointed at elbows while legs are jointed at the hips and knees. When wheel crank on side is cranked, attached metal rod w/tin litho tabs lift and drop the Mickey figures, which are mounted to vertical metal rods on their backs. This lift and drop motion makes it appear as if the pair are dancing. As litho tabs on back are in different configurations, Mickey figures move differently, in a complimentary manner.

Peter is always nervous about carving horses because his wife, Andrea, is a horse expert and can be quite critical of his efforts. So it was with huge relief that she approved of his most recent effort, “Free and Easy”. Although Andrea may have been impressed, Paul Frape, the gentleman who has the task of making molds from Peter’s sculptures, was less than pleased by all of the gangly legs. It is these production difficulties that have historically made horses rarities within the HK collection. Despite the serious depiction, Peter couldn’t resist carving a cartoon horse within this box figurine. Look for a “TKA” inscription under a hoof. This stands for Tony and Kathy Allocco, avid Harmony Kingdom collectors who have invited Andrea to a cattle drive, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Each of the wooden panels must be in excellent condition. The grill cloth beneath the front figure must be in excellent condition. The radio must have the brass plate and the two brass plates that are behind each of the knobs. The cabinet for the radio measures 7.5" x 7.5" x 5" inches. The radio must have the original two prong plug and brown/white power cord.

Ed has been desirous of adventure, so the hapless explorer, who bears a strong resemblance to Master Carver Peter Calvesbert, has returned to the African wilds in “Ed’s Safari V”, the fifth Small Treasure Jest in the “Ed’s Safari” series. Here, he has taken to the bay in a rowing boat. Unfortunately his oars do not reach the water because the elephant weighs down the boat’s stern. The fact that the boat is still anchored doesn’t help matters. Peter’s signature mouse, hoping to escape the havoc, is tucked under the quiet giraffe’s ear. The turtle recreates the famous Kate Winslet scene from the film “Titanic”.
