Georg Jensen Sterling Silverware Company - A Brief History

May 19, 2026 - Georg Jensen's silver business opened in Copenhagen, Denmark, in  1904 and became one of the leading producers of silverware in the world. The mark on sterling is a wreath topped by a crown and the words Georg Jensen Inc. An American company, Georg Jensen Inc. USA started in New York in 1941 and ceased production about nine years later. Some pattern names: Acanthus, Acorn, Beaded, Bernadotte, Blossom, Cactus, Caravell, Continental, Cypress, Old Danish, Parallel, and Pyramid.
