The official medallic portraits of the Presidents and First Ladies of the U.S. as authorized by the White House Historical Association (WHHA) were engraved and struck in miniature for a special collection of sterling silver mini-coins. The portraits on the mini coins are outstanding historical works of art created by 2 of the world's leading medallic sculptors. Gilroy Roberts and Harold Faulkner. These are the medallic portraits which have previously appeared on the medals authorized by the WHHA and issued several years ago
Gilroy Roberts created the 38 presidential portraits, and Harold Faulkner created the portraits of the 43 First Ladies. All 80 portraits have been individually reviewed and authenticated by the Curator of the White House, Mr. Clement Couger. A hardwood display case, with a transparent top was provided to each subscriber.
