This is the seventh miniature in a series of limited edition Carl Barks lithographs issued in conjunction with the long-running regular-size prints produced by Another Rainbow beginning in 1982. (No painting in one series will ever be produced in the other). Circa 1994. Hand-signed and numbered by the artist Carl Barks himself.
This image of Donald Duck, "Hi, I'm Donald Duck" captured in oil on masonite by Barks in 1975, is one of the most definitive portraits of the plucky duck ever produced. What better image to choose as the lithographic tribute to Donald's sixtieth birthday?
The lithograph is printed on iridescent, mother-of-pearl paper that is constructed of 100% cotton fiber for strength and longevity. This archival quality paper has exceptional ink holdout, is acid free to resist aging, and has alkaline buffering to counteract the effects of acids normally present in the environment.
Five U.S. editions have been struck. This lithograph is from the Regular Edition, which was strictly limited to 595 prints. This is a closed edition. The printing plates used to create this lithograph have been destroyed to prevent future use. This is number 194/595 and its matching Certificate of Authenticity is included, affixed to a clear sleeve on the back of the backing board.
