Published by Walt Disney Art Classics in 1996. This is a limited edition of 350 hand-inked, hand-painted character animation cel from Walt Disney's classic animated feature Pinocchio (1940). This cel set-up, "Anytime You Need Me", recreates Sequence 1.6, Scene 5 of the film: Jiminy Cricket, freshly appointed Pinocchio's official moral guardian, alerts his young charge to "always let your conscience be your guide". Pinocchio measures 12" tall in this amazing and critical scene. This set-up is framed with a mat opening of approximately 14" X 16" and a frame size of 25" x 23". Frame is original with Certificate of Authenticity and original '$2,475.00' price tag attached.

Disney has recreated the artwork from this sequence using traditional animation techniques. Artists of The Walt Disney Studios Ink and Paint Department transferred the original animation drawings to each acetate cel using 11 hand-ink lines, and then hand-painted the cels using 30 Disney-approved acrylic colors.

The background scene accompanying this cel has been faithfully recreated by a Disney background artist who used the original layout, sketches and frames from the film as reference. The resulting artwork has been lithographically printed on premium-quality acid-free paper by Color Service of Monterey Park, California.

The Disney Animation Research Library maintains the original animation drawings and reference material. Walt Disney Art Classics maintains the recreated background. Conforming to the practice of fine art printing, the film used to create the background is destroyed when the edition is complete.
