Symbols of Liberty Medals Collection (Danbury Mint, 1971)

Each medal is 39mm in diameter. Gold-plated or silver edition of equal value. A bronze version was produced which has little if any value. This four medal set was issued as part of a special Congressional Edition to honor the traditions of the United States Congress and the role it played in protecting the and promulgating American liberty. The sets were presented to each member of the 92nd Congress in 1971, then sold to the public. The set comes in a wood presentation case with a certificate of authenticity.
