Lady and The Tramp 'Love On The Horizon' Limited Edition Sericel (Walt Disney Company, 1998)

Limited edition of 3500 depicting characters from Walt Disney's animated feature Lady and The Tramp (1955). This art work, "Love on the Horizon", recreates Sequence 8, Scene 8.1 of the film: After a magical Bella Notte spent in one another's company, elegant Lady and raffish Tramp share a romantic sunrise together. Tramp measures 7" tall and Lady 4" tall in this amazing scene. This character image is Plexiglass front-framed with a mat opening of approximately 13" X 10" and a frame size of 20" x 17". Frame is original with Certificate of Authenticity and original '$275.00' price tag attached.

Disney has recreated the character image from this sequence using the fine art screening process of color reproduction known as serigraphy. Disney artists, working from original animation drawings and film reference materials used for the production of Lady and The Tramp, specially created a hand-inked, hand painted animation master cel which was used by team Art Studio of Gardena, California in the production of these sericels. A total of 16 colors are used to recreate the color image, each of which has been exactingly screen-printed, one color at a time, onto the acetate cel.

The background scene accompanying this cel has been faithfully recreated by a Disney background artist who used the original layout, sketches and frames from the film as reference. The resulting artwork has been lithographically printed on premium-quality acid-free paper by Anderson Printing of Los Angeles, California.
