BEECHCRAFT G17S STAGGERWING 1:48 Plastic Model Kit (AMT T638, 1960's)

Scale: 1/48

The Beechcraft Model 17 Staggerwing is an American biplane with an atypical negative wing stagger (the lower wing is farther forward than the upper wing), that first flew in 1932. The Beechcrat Staggerwing was and remain one of the finest civilian aircraft ever built. It was the brainchild of Walter Beech, whose dream was to produce a high performance five place luxury biplane with a top speed of over 200 MPH, landing speed of 60 MPH, sound aerodynamics and ease of control. He succeeded brilliantly. Tests of the first model 17 in 1932 yielded performance figures superior to many fighter planes of the day!
