39mm diameter solid gold gaming chip issued in limited edition by The Franklin Mint in 1979 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco. 1000 Francs face value. Housed in a deluxe velvet-lined display box and including a certificate of authenticity dated April 20, 1979 as well as a gold-plated sterling silver chain. The Official issue was authorized by the casino and was strictly limited to 7500 proofs. The chip is made of .500 fine gold and weighs app. 16 grams.
